It goes without saying that there are some moments in the life of every family that absolutely need to be immortalized in pictures. A great way to display those memories is by having them turned into canvas prints. The following is a list of great moments to make into a photo canvas:

1 – The first kiss as a man and wife. It is the day that two people formed a family, and a great moment to immortalize on a photo canvas.

2 – The first day of school. The first day of school is often more emotional for mom and dad than it is for the tike going off to school, but it is one you will always remember.

3 – Graduation. You couldn’t be more proud of your son, daughter or spouse for their awesome academic achievement, and there is no better way to display that pride than with a photo canvas of the occasion.

4 – First shots of your newborn child. Your child’s birthday will be a blur of emotion for you. A canvas printing of your child’s very first photo will bring you back to that most special of all birthdays.

5 – Family reunion. Getting generations of your family together in one place is a momentous occasion, and one that should definitely be celebrated on your walls.

6 – Child’s first birthday. Making it through that first tenuous year as a parent is certainly cause for celebration so mark the event with a wonderful photo canvas.

7 – Prom. Seeing your child all dressed up can bring a tear to even the most stoic eye, so commemorating the event makes sense.

8 – Dance recital or sports event. Performing at a dance recital or playing in the big game can be a defining moment in your child’s life. It is a memory that they will cherish for years to come. Having the moment made into a canvas print will help keep that memory alive.

9 – Baptism or baby naming. The day that you officially introduce your child to the world is a wonderful event indeed. A beautiful canvas printing of this most special of days will help remind you of how precious your child was, when they were so small.

10 – First Holy Communion, Confirmation, Bar or Bat Mitzvah. Such important religious events help shape the young man or woman that your child is becoming. Marking the day with a photo canvas will let you look back and remember how very proud of your child you are that day and always.

When gift giving time rolls around, do you always have a struggle to find the perfect gift for someone on your list?  Do you find yourself thinking about what you could possibly give that your friend doesn’t already own?  Are you tired of giving gift cards because you have no other Christmas gift idea?  Well, this year, there is a way to make your gift a unique treasure that will also be easy on the wallet.  Give the special gift of photo canvas prints.

To make photo canvas prints, you simply need a digital photo that you can upload.  Don’t be limited by photos that are already on your computer or memory card.  Get creative.  Make your Grandma’s special recipe and then snap a photo of the finished product.  This is a wonderful Christmas gift idea that will show Grandma just one of the many reasons she is so loved and appreciated.  You could take a picture of your child’s best building block creation, so that it will be remembered long after the blocks have been knocked over.  It is a beautiful sight to see the smile on your child’s face when he realizes the art on the wall is his own work.

For your friends, you can create fun pop-art out of a photo taken from a special girls’ weekend getaway.  For your parents, you could take photos of your childhood homes and turn them into photo canvas prints that will bring tears to the eyes of even the most stoic relatives in the room.  There are virtually unlimited ways to make this Christmas gift idea the most talked about present of this season and for seasons to come.  You just have to use your imagination.

This Christmas gift idea doesn’t require a trip to a crowded mall, either.  You can create your photo canvas prints in your own home.  You just upload a digital photo and select a canvas size.  You can choose to frame your canvas or leave it unframed.  If you want to try out some special effects, go ahead and have some fun.  Then you can sit back and relax, knowing that your one of a kind gift is on its way.  If the recipient lives in another state, you could even have it sent directly to that destination.  The canvas prints will be protectively wrapped, so you don’t have to worry about your present getting damaged in the shipping process.

Give a Photo Canvas Birthday Gift!

Why You Should Consider Photo Canvas Printing for Birthday Gifts

Too often in the search for good birthday gifts to give to those we are not romantically involved with, we find ourselves frustrated with the lack of truly personal items available. You can choose a new top or a pair of jeans that will be the same as those worn by thousands of other people. You can get a book or an album that they may not read or listen to. But, really, when you are looking for something that is personal, without being romantic the search can seem futile. This is why you should consider photo canvas printing for your gift.

Photo canvas printing is the process of rendering a digital image onto a sheet of canvas. The result is a photograph that looks like art – textured, nuanced and beautiful. This is great for birthday gifts – you cannot get more personal than a photograph that will remind the recipient of a special day, a place you went together or of their favourite pet. Really there is no subject that will not look good rendered on canvas – your only difficulty will be in choosing which photo you want to use. That choice, of course, will be dictated by the person who will receive the gift.

While most digital photos will lend themselves well to photo canvas printing, there are some guideline you should follow to ensure that the gift is perfect. First make sure you choose a photo with a good border (a minimum of 1.5 inches) as this will be stretched over the frame or scaffolding. The last thing you want is somebody’s head wrapped off of the edge. When choosing which photographs to use for birthday gifts, you should also think of photos that you have a strong reaction to. If the photo makes you laugh, that is good. If it brings on a flood of memories about the day it captures, even better. The key is to choose a photo that ‘speaks’ to you and that will also be special to the recipient.

Photo canvas printing can be the perfect solution for birthday gifts that will be cherished. Whether you chose to print the photo ‘as is’ or add pop art effects, print in black and white or sepia tones your finished canvas will be a true work of art. Stop worrying about finding that perfect gift – now you just have to find the perfect photo!

Canvas Prints a Popular Gift!

Three Reasons Why Photo Canvas Prints are Such Popular Gifts!

Canvas Prints a Popular Gift?

Photo canvas prints are becoming very popular to give as gifts. Wedding gifts, birthdays, graduations, even as tokens of remembrance for holidays and other special occasions – canvas prints provide the perfect way to capture a moment and celebrate the special times of life. Light and easy to hang, canvas prints are appropriate for any type of home, from city apartments to grand country manors. They can be hung framed or unframed and look great either way. Although there are many reasons why canvas prints are so popular for gift giving here are three of the main ones:

Photo canvas prints are classic: Artists have been painting on canvas for a thousand years. There is something about the texture of canvas under an image that speaks to us of art, of depth and of quality. Photo canvas prints will look at home in the grandest of settings. Like all things with a truly classic air, however, canvas prints can also fit well in casual settings as well. Like the perfect cashmere jacket paired with jeans, canvas prints do well in casual settings as long as thought is put into how you pair this classic style with your fresh modern setting.

Photo canvas prints have a unique way of reflecting light: Painting on canvas became popular as artists realized how the space between the frame and the wall allowed light to filter through the painting bringing the subject to life in a way that wasn’t possible on plaster or wood. The textured front of the canvas will also create unique effects with light, diffusing and adding a glow to the image. Due to this, images that have unique lighting effects (sunsets, streaming sunlight etc) will look especially good rendered on canvas. This makes them the perfect commemorative gifts for remembering a holiday or special day in nature.

Photo canvas prints can be customized: No matter what the decorating style, a canvas print can be customized to look great on the wall. Tone and color effects can change the way the photograph looks. Sepia tone, black and white or Warhol-esque pop-art effects allow you to truly match the photo print to the recipient. With a variety of sizes as well, and the choice of unframed for framed, your gift can be customized to fit into the perfect spot.

Look into the possibilities and find out for yourself why photo canvas prints are such popular gifts.

Canvas Prints – The Perfect Photo Gift

Canvas Prints – The Perfect Photo Gift

How often are we stuck trying to find that perfect gift?

How many pictures do we have that when we see them bring back perfect memories?  These photos are an excellent way to re-create those memories time and time again by turning them into canvas prints.  The colors are rich and true and great for hanging on the wall as you would any work of art.  Yet, these are your photos and your memories – your art.

Creating canvas prints is a process where your photo images are printed onto canvas rather than paper.  You get a depth from the canvas and a richness from the quality inks that is unlike any other way of producing your photo image. The colors seem more vibrant and richer on canvas than they do on paper.  They can also be easily framed creating a work of art rather than just a family photo. These are personal, artistic ways to enjoy your memories which are durable.  The plain-woven cotton fabric gives your photo a distinct quality and texture, different than any other substance.

The process of creating canvas prints is simple.  The digital image of your photo is printed on to canvas using UV-protected inks.  These non solvent inks are the same quality you will find used in museums and art galleries.  By using high quality inks this ensures your canvas print will last retaining its color, clarity and crispness.  The canvas is made of high quality cotton to produce a depth not possible with paper.  Your print will then be treated with several layers of a UV protection coating, again for durability.  Once you have the print, you can further ensure it lasts a lifetime by keeping your canvas in a dry area. While there is a protective coating, this is not the same thing as water proof.  If you canvas does get wet lightly dab it off with a soft cloth. Avoid putting the canvas in direct sunlit areas.  Sunlight can fade even the most durable images, which is why museums do not have windows anywhere near paintings. Occasionally take a soft bristle brush and dust the canvas. This will keep the dust from dulling the colors.

Canvas prints are the perfect photo gift because they not only rekindle that perfect memory, but they create a way to enjoy that memory for years to come.  No matter the occasion, recreate that perfect memory with the perfect gift.

Canvas Printing Leaves Lasting Memories!

Canvas Printing Leaves Lasting Memories!

Some moments are just so special you want to capture them forever and canvas printing gives you the opportunity to do just that. For centuries artists have painted on canvas, an extremely durable and uniquely flexible fabric. When canvas is stretched across a frame, it creates a unique tension that displays paintings to perfect advantage. Canvas also lends its own unique texture behind the image leading to a fascinating play of light across the artwork. Now, with advances in modern printing and manufacturing standards, your digital photographs can be printed on canvas, creating a long lasting and beautiful method for displaying your most precious memories.

Choosing a photograph to use for canvas printing is a matter of resolution and composition. In order to print well there are minimum requirements for resolution for each size of canvas. Basically, if you have a digital camera of 5 mega-pixels or better and you take photographs at the fine or best setting, any photograph you take will translate to canvas well. If your camera does not have that high of resolution then you will need to pay attention to the resolution of the individual photograph. Basically any picture over 2 meg will be great, but most that are between 700kb and 2 meg are workable. If in doubt, ask advice from the printer.

Once you have narrowed down the photographs you will be choosing to those that are a high enough resolution you can begin the process of choosing the perfect photo based on composition. Canvas printing will embed the image on a single sheet of canvas and then stretch it over a wooden frame or scaffold. This means that the outer edges of the photo (up to 1.5 inches) will be wrapped around the frame. If you choose a photo with a face at the upper edge you might end up with part of that person’s head wrapped around the edge of the finished product. Be sure to choose a photo with a good border.

Canvas printing is the perfect way to capture memories!

Canvas prints are perfect to save those wedding, family gathering or amazing holiday memories. The unique properties of canvas lend to depth in the image, making it a true focal point in any room you choose to hang it. If you want your memories to last and to be displayed beautifully, there is no better way to cherish them than having them printed in canvas.
