These pictures  are of myself, my husband (Jameel T) and my daughter Aminah who is 3. Those were our first family pictures ever. My husband and I were both in the Marines and he had just gotten back from Afghanistan. We bought our first house in December and decided we needed some nice pictures to hang up, so I heard about Canvas People and fell in love with how the canvas prints look. I get compliments all the time about them. Whats great about these pictures is they look great anywhere in your home and they fit in naturally (very easy to hang by the way and light weight) Needless to say I plan on adding some more to my decor very soon icon smile I Get Compliments All the Time! .

Taking pics when people are not looking that is the best !!!

Get different angles. Climb trees, lay in the grass, shoot from behind, think outside the box!!!

I give my 3 year old the camera and let her take pictures. The new perspective sometimes brings a great photo.

Remember the rule of thirds and get up and get down!

Plan ahead and still make last minute changes.

Happy September!  The month where leaves will be turning and the sun sets sooner than we wish, we posted a super cool photo of…well let’s see what some of you thought!

From wet leaves, fall, frog, and lizard guesses…we were pretty impressed with the rapidness of responses!

Most of you did get the answer correct! HOWEVER, our contest is the first, most correct and detailed description will win a free 11×14 canvas.

Janice’s response was “A Malaysian leaf frog (Megophrys Nasuta) sitting on what appears to maybe be wet leaves from a candle nut tree or an aspen tree………typically these frogs are found in Southeast Asia all the way to the Himalayas and so on and so forth.”

My daughter Lili is very energetic and now that she is walking it is hard to catch her still, let alone take a picture of the moment. My cousin’s wife took a picture of Lili with her cell phone. I received many compliments on the picture and decided to use it for my mother’s canvas. Unfortunately, I didn’t realize that cell phone pics are not the best quality. Nonetheless, after a phone call to customer service I received emails from Patt and she helped me out by changing the canvas size and having her tech team work on the quality of the image. She knew that I really had my heart set on that particular picture.

Needless to say, my mother loved the canvas.

Thanks again to Patt in customer service for all her help and a great big pat on the back to the tech team
