Keep in mind when you are lining up a shot, that the mind and eyes are capable of interpreting a lot more than a camera can. While you can sort of squint and make things out in dim lighting, a camera cannot. A camera will never “adjust to the light” and therefore, you will have to adjust its settings. You can compensate in some cases by using a flash, but be aware that a flash can often completely change the look of a shot and give you a picture that is nothing like what you hoped to get.

Some other really important photography tips include making sure that the subject of your photo is not falling out of the frame. Although there is no need for the subject of your photo to be entirely centered in a photo in order for it to be a good picture, you also do not want it to be completely off to one side or another.  This is especially important if you plan to make a photo canvas out of your pictures as the outer inch and half of the photo will be wrapped around, which can cost your subject arms, legs or a head if you are not careful.
